About Ageon
Ageon is an iPhone app that estimates how well you're aging from quick fitness tests and optional Apple Health data, then helps you find out which habits change your own numbers.
Who makes it
Ageon is built by Vlad Arama, a software engineer and solo developer. He isn't a doctor, so the app and this site lean on published research rather than opinion, and say where that research runs out.
How the articles and tools are researched
Every number on this site comes from a cited source: large cohort studies, meta-analyses, randomized trials or national reference data. Sources are listed at the end of each page and link to the original paper.
Each Learn article is rated strong, moderate or emerging by how good the evidence is, not by how exciting the claim sounds. Findings from observational studies are described as links, not causes. Each article shows the date it last changed.
The free tools use the same reference tables as the app. The method page lists every table, weight and limit behind the Ageon Score and Ageon Age.
What Ageon is not
Ageon gives wellness estimates, not diagnoses. Ageon Age is an estimate against reference ranges, not a direct measurement of biological aging. Consult a doctor before making medical decisions or changing treatment, training or diet.
